Camp: Camp Counselor, Camp Care Crew Member, Camp Care Supervisor
My first summer at SAMBICA (Bellevue, WA) sparked a love for camp ministry. Throughout being a counselor, working on camp care and joining the leadership team, God taught me so much and I made life long friendships throughout 3 summers. I loved getting to know pour into kids and teach them about Christ as well as serving, supporting, and encouraging the staff. Camp Care consisted of serving through supporting and encouraging other teams and camp programming, maintaining cleanliness and beauty of camp, and more. My last summer at SAMBICA I joined the leadership team and was the Camp Care Supervisor. God taught me so much about ministry, leading and caring for His people, and seeking Him daily through camp.
abbey west: Spiritual Care Coordinator, Prayer and Care Ministry Coordinator and Women’s Small Group Leader
abbey west, campus ministry, at Concordia Irvine was formative in teaching me about prayer and how God works through prayer. Through planning and leading events focused on spiritual life on campus, helping behind the scenes at worship services/events, leading Bible study/small groups, and more, God used abbey west to help me develop and build relationships with people around campus, grow in ministry, and my faith. I started a new ministry on campus, creating a prayer team that prayed for our community, students, staff, etc. With this team, we lead a night of prayer on campus 2x a semester called Whisper. Because of my involvement in abbey west throughout college, I am huge advocate for prayer.
Around the World Semester (ATW V)
My sophomore year at Concordia Irvine, I spent my Fall semester traveling with a team of 30 people around the world. This semester entailed a combination of traveling to ten different countries, while taking classes cultural & literary classes, and community involvement through mission and service. It was amazing, full of growth, challenges, joy and adventure to see and experience how God is working all over the world.
